Baseline Scan & Labs

I cannot believe it is the end of March already! I have a feeling April will fly by for us as well. My Baseline Scan and Labs are scheduled for this coming Monday, April 5th at 7:30am. As long as my hormone levels are good and there aren't any eggs hanging around from my last cycle, I will start taking the stimulation injection (Follistim) on Monday night. This will be in addition to the Lupron injections I'm taking now. Gus is home from his 4 day trip North, so I had him take some pictures last night and have included them with this post. My injection tally for this IVF cycle is now at 12.
This whole journey has got me thinking about the possibility of going back to school, but I'm in the very early stages of research right now and haven't really made up my mind yet. Of course, if this IVF cycle works, I will be putting my energy going forward into my kid(s), so the idea may have to take the backseat for awhile.
Easter is this coming Sunday. I really hope the Easter Bunny has a reason to stop at our house next year!

  1. My diabetic sister used to use syringes just like those until she got her pump!

I love the drug basket next to the Coke fridge pack. A glimpse inside the icebox of fertility patients....

Thanks for letting us join you on this journey. :)
