Dear Casey Anthony,

First off, you should know I'm not one who easily gets wrapped up in media hype. But unfortunately for you, this case caught my attention and I have very strong emotions regarding the situation.

I don't know what happened. But I do know that you took your child's life for granted and your responsibility as a parent lightly. Because society has no say over who can get pregnant, that same society feels they need to do their due diligence when overseeing adoptions. I do not have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with, is parents who take their responsibility lightly enough to make the process for people like me who want to be a Mommy much more difficult and daunting. If every parent would love, protect and put their child's needs first, no one would have to question my motives for wanting to become a parent.

As part of your punishment for lying to the police, I think you should be forced to listen to person after person, who has either lost a child (not by their own neglect) or who was never able to have children, "explain" to you how bad it hurts to know that people like you can have perfect, beautiful children but never see the blessing or gift that you have been given.

The only other fact that I know for sure about the case is that Caylee deserved so much more...

I hope that some day, you can take responsibility for your part and seek forgiveness.
