Eggy

I had my follow up scan and labs this morning. The appointment took a really long time! Mainly because they were training the new ultrasound tech and partly because they had to measure all of the maturing follicles, and I had A LOT! I was the second person there so I was the second person for the scan. I'll be sure to be early each time now. I felt really bad for the 4 other ladies sitting in the waiting room (who also had 7:30 appointments) when I was leaving at 8:30. Some of the 60 aren't maturing, but that is okay, I still have 45 participating in this go round.


I hadn't heard anything when I was getting ready to leave work, so I called and left a message for the nurse, and I'm glad I did, because when she called back she told me she got busy with something else and completely forgot to call all of the patients from this morning. She said that everything looks really good! They want me to continue the injections as is, no change in dose. She also told me they would start seeing me every 2 to 3 days now. I go back for another scan on Thursday morning. She has also ordered my anesthesia for the egg retrieval, but it hasn't been scheduled yet.


I'm still feeling pretty bloated, uncomfortable, achy and tired. But I'm starting to get more and more excited and anxious. I guess I should mention that I'm pretty irritable too. I was trying to open a package in the kitchen last night and couldn't get it open, so I released my frustration by screaming. When Gus came in to ask if I was okay, I told him I MAY have overreacted a little, but that it was okay because I'm PMSy. He responded back with, "But you're not. You're...eggy." So that is what we are calling this phase. Jeanna is irritable because she is eggy.
