Our 7th Wedding Anniversary

We headed back to the doctor's office this morning for another scan and more labs. My poor arms hurt from all of the needle sticks. The doctor did the scan himself, so we were able to get more information during the actual visit this time. The eggs are ready! I will take two injections of Ovadrel tonight at 9pm sharp. These will put the eggs through the final stages of maturity and the injections are timed exactly 35 hours before the egg retrieval. The injections are supposed to induce ovulation at 36 hours from injection time. The egg retrieval is scheduled for 8am on Monday, May 31st - which is our 7th anniversary! I go back tomorrow for another poke in the arm for more blood work.

The fluid in my uterus is back. The doctor is hoping that the Progesterone injections help to clear this up. He believes the high estrogen levels are causing my fibroid removal scar to seep and is hoping once the progesterone takes over, it will stop the seeping. So we are still playing the wait and see game as far as the transfer goes.

We are both really excited that our children are going to be "conceived" on our anniversary! We won't have any problems remembering the date now. But, I won't be any fun on our anniversary as I imagine I will be sleeping for most of it.

Injection tally is at 81! I will give myself two more shots tonight, tomorrow I get a break from shots, and then Gus will take over the injections on Monday.
