We were able to get some pictures taken this weekend of the Follistim injections. For some reason, they have posted to the blog in reverse order, but there is one of me putting the needle on, and then making sure it is primed, and then the actual shot itself. Up until this morning, my main side effect has just been fatigue. I've been a little nauseous, but that is mainly first thing in the morning before eating breakfast. I have been a little uncomfortable too, but not too bad.
This morning, I'm starting to notice a bloated feeling and I'm feeling a little achy all the time now. I'm pretty sure I'll have to be more picky about what I wear to work this week as I'm sure I will just continue to feel more bloated as the week goes on. I am going to be out of the office on Wednesday and Thursday for a conference downtown, so maybe that will help me keep my mind off of it.
I head back for a follow up scan and labs tomorrow morning. I'm not sure if I will find out when the egg retrieval will be tomorrow when the nurse calls with the results or not. I know they will run blood work at least one more time before the retrieval, but I don't know if any more scans will be necessary. I guess that will all depend on how tomorrow goes. I did talk to my boss again today and let her know if all goes as planned, she probably shouldn't expect to see me much next week.
Gus has been doing his part by taking his antibiotic daily. Injection tally is now at 70!
