I don't have to do ANY injections tonight! Although I don't think I will have to go through an egg retrieval again, because I'm sure they will get plenty tomorrow, I thought I would jot down a few notes for myself just in case the need should arise.
1. Even though the instructions say it is okay to give a shot under the belly button, DO NOT DO IT. That was by far the most painful shot and it bruised almost instantly. Stick to the sides instead.
2. Be sure to let the medication sit out a while before injecting it. The colder it is the more painful it is.
3. Keep your eye on the prize.
4. The alcohol pads in the Lupron kits are better than the Walgreen's brand alcohol pads.
I'm not too worried about tomorrow...yet. I'm more concerned about the transfer being able to happen. I went in for blood work again this morning. The doctor drew my blood today, and that was nice because he is able to do it without hurting somehow. I'm to show up tomorrow with my Valium at 7 am and not have anything to eat or drink after midnight tonight.
Gus and I went out for lunch today to celebrate our anniversary. He chose Cheddar's and I got to enjoy a cookie monster, yum!
My ovaries are feeling awfully tight now. When I woke up this morning, that was the first thing I felt. It is amazing to me how I never felt the "can of coke" on my left ovary, but these tiny little eggs feel like bowling balls in my gut.
I probably won't be up for blogging tomorrow, but maybe I will get to it on Tuesday.
